a $20 download — private worlds, hosted multiplayer, no subscription
Coming soon to itch.io
launch is a one-step-away decision; the engine is built
The architecture is complete, deployed, and verified on production hardware. The Tier-1 substrate Oracle is finishing its training run on commodity CPU this week and ships in the V1 build — no GPU rental gate, no cluster, just a 141M-parameter substrate-aware backbone trained from scratch on an 8-core box. Tier-2 specialists (conversationalist, action-policy, per-domain experts) activate in the weeks after launch via the marketplace. Wander Around ships at $20 on itch.io, with a Steam page submitted in parallel. A free browser-based preview will live at play.wanderaround.io; the paid build adds private worlds, persistent state across sessions, and the option to host your own multiplayer server.
Pricing
- Free browser preview — the full engine in a webpage. Type prompts, walk around, meet NPCs. Limited persistence. Available the moment the public launch flips on.

- Self-host (free) — the server is open-source. Run it on your own hardware for friends-and-family multiplayer at no cost.
- Residency listing — opt your private server into the wanderaround.io main map. Visitors find you by walking past on the public side. Optional, $3–5/month, supports the infrastructure.
